Discovering the Douro with Row for fun
The title of a song is “what a wonderful world”. There is a new one now….”what a wonderful Douro”.
After 3 days in Porto ( a very interesting city to discover) and a ride by train to Pocinho, we met Pedro and Manuel from Row for fun. The start of our 5 days on the Douro was expected by everybody., so impatient to discover the Douro from the river.
Pedro and Manuel organized everything very well. It’s impossible to explain here all the small and big details they provided to ensure a tailored tour on the Douro. Rowing on the Douro with them was an beautiful experience. Hope to come back with them.

Our group of 8 enjoyed a wonderful trip rowing for 4 days through the stunning Douro valley to Porto. Pedro’s team were professional, experienced, and extremely friendly -they made everything so easy arranging every leg of our boat journey. The accommodation and food for all were brilliant -I couldn’t believe so much was included in the price. The Douro is perfect for rowing, whether you want to train hard or just enjoy the sunshine and scenery. We also love sampling all the delicious port wine of the region. Finishing up in beautiful Porto, it was a fantastic trip that I would recommend to all my rowing friends.

Breathtaking landscapes. mighty Dams, Luxury hotels, Birds everywhere, the sound of the oars striking water, sandy coves inviting for rest, Delicious food and wine, and a kind, friendly and very professional team To care about us…We came back with happy memories
